e-reader

I read the critique from the Blue Skunk Blog, about the article, A Kindle in Every Backpack. Everyone I know who has a Kindle just loves it/its features for all types of reasons. The article isn't about the actual Kindle, but a Kindle-type e-reader for students. Both Thomas Freedman (author of article) and Doug Johnson (author of critique) "ask" the text book companies to step-up and offer these tools.

Having recently gone through a text book adoption process, I found the technology the companies provided to be less that what I had hoped. I was left wondering if the text book companies really have a clear idea of what their customers are looking for?
